Bloom & Brew: Finding Everyday Magic at Iriyamaju Hyakkaten, Setagaya’s Flower-Filled Café

This is our review of Iriyamaju Hyakkaten (Maps), visited in July 2026.

Nestled in the heart of everyday life in Seta, Setagaya Ward, Tokyo, Iriyamaju Hyakkaten (入山十百花店 FLOWER & GREEN & COFFEE 二子玉川) is a rare hybrid space where a florist shop and a café come together. Located midway between Yōga and Futako-Tamagawa stations—about a 13-minute walk from either—this shop was born from a couple’s wish to offer “time that calms the heart, surrounded by flowers and greenery.”

Concept & Space: A Ghibli-Like Green Oasis

Step inside and you’ll feel as if you’ve wandered into a Ghibli film: the space overflows with plants and seasonal flowers. Toward the back is the florist area, while the café seating is embraced by carefully arranged greenery and blooms that wrap visitors in nature’s gentle warmth.

The café grew out of the couple’s long experience working with flowers and plants. The husband learned coffee craft from a university friend, and together they opened this flower-shop café under the concept: “Bring flowers and greenery into the middle of daily life.” The atmosphere is intentionally welcoming for solo visitors, making it easy to drop in anytime.

Lunchtime: A Calm Afternoon Among Flowers

Open 11:00–19:00 (closed Thursdays), Iriyamaju Hyakkaten shines during lunchtime, when you can enjoy a quiet afternoon framed by blossoms. On Tabelog, reviewers describe it as “an elegant, graceful coffee break in a sophisticated flower shop,” with strong ratings for atmosphere (3.8) and service (3.7).

Hand-Drip Coffee

Every cup is brewed to order. Their signature Iriyamaju Blend is a dark roast with pleasant bitterness and a clean finish. Sipping this carefully poured coffee while surrounded by floral scents makes the rush of daily life fade away.

Coffee Float

A perfect finale to lunch: the gentle bitterness of coffee meets the sweetness of vanilla ice cream. In this flower-filled room, watching the ice cream slowly melt becomes its own small pleasure.

Pound Cake

All cakes are made in-house, from seasonal specialties to classics. The Japanese Chestnut (Waguri) Pound Cake is especially praised for its moist, fluffy texture and warm, comforting sweetness—an ideal match for their coffee.

Reviews & Reputation
