This is our review of Cafe “Here Comes the Sun” (Maps), visited in March 2026.
Just a few minutes’ walk from Yoga Station on the Tokyu Den-en-toshi Line, nestled beyond a tree-lined residential area, stands Here Comes the Sun—a cozy café marked by its white walls and a simple wooden sign. True to its name, this café is filled with sunlight. Soft beams filter through glass windows, warmly illuminating wooden tables and lush greenery inside. Gentle background music plays, making time seem to slow down.

From morning to afternoon, regulars open their laptops or lose themselves in books. The café isn’t bustling—it’s quiet, yet filled with a calm sense of connection.
The Colorful and Aromatic “Taco Rice”
The most popular lunch item here is the vividly colored Taco Rice (タコライス). On a large plate, spiced taco meat is piled over white rice, topped with crisp lettuce, juicy tomatoes, and melted cheese. The inviting aromas of cumin and garlic fill the air, evoking the warmth of a home kitchen.

Each bite brings together layers of flavor—the savory richness of the meat, the tangy brightness of tomato, and the refreshing crunch of lettuce, all harmonized by the café’s original salsa sauce. Reviews praise its “perfect balance” and “healthy yet hearty” portions. It’s especially popular among women and people working remotely in the Yoga area.

A Cup That Feels Like Sunrise — The Americano
The other star of the café is the Americano (アメリカーノコーヒー), best enjoyed after your meal. Made with lightly roasted Ethiopian beans, it offers a delicate, floral aroma. The first sip brings a citrus-like acidity, which slowly gives way to subtle sweetness as it cools. It gently refreshes the palate after the flavorful taco rice—like sunlight easing through clouds.
Sitting by the window, hands wrapped around the steaming cup, you can watch families with children passing by and laughing on the street outside. It’s a reminder that even in the heart of the city, peaceful moments still exist—and that’s the quiet charm of this café.

A Gentle Kind of Renewal
Here Comes the Sun is a place that makes you feel a bit more positive each time you visit. Whether it’s the spiced aroma of taco rice or the comforting notes of an Americano, every detail seems to brighten your day. Nothing about it is extravagant; it’s simply about spending time gently and mindfully. And perhaps, that everyday grace is its own form of renewal.

After lunch, before the afternoon light begins to fade, you might just want to linger a little longer—at this sunlit hideaway in Yoga, Setagaya.
